Film Wednesday
Film: Sus Ojos se Cerraron y el Mundo Sigue Andando, 1997 (subtitled)
Buenos Aires in the 1930s: a city of immigrants where nothing is possible but everything happens. Renzo is a Tango singer who lives catch-as-catch can. Convinced by a friend's girlfriend that he looks like a famous singer, he begins to take advantage of the resemblance, with dramatic consequences.

Concert and milonga: An evening of Argentine and Russian Tango, with Mazaika
Sarah Harrison (violin) and Igor Outkine (accordion) of Mazaika have prepared a special 90-minute set of Argentine Tango, as well as its old-world counterpart: Russian Tango. This promises to be an unusual and electrifying concert and dance.

Music Friday
Description
Our second live music evening continues, through examination of Tango history from two different perspectives.
Concert: TangoDuo
Monica Acosta (voice) and Craig White (piano) of TangoDuo will delight us with passionate songs from the acclaimed composer Astor Piazzolla and other Tango classics by Carlos Gardel. The love poetry of Jorge Luis Borges and Horacio Ferrer inspired the forceful and touching melodies you will hear this night.
Lecture: A short history of Tango through visual arts
Juan Maria Solare will be using projector slides to show us some interesting examples of visual arts through the decades. Juan is extremely well respected as a pianist and Tango lecturer and is irresistibly charismatic and witty.
Talk-concert: A voyage through Tango songs
Juan Maria Solare gives us a talk-concert, presenting some of the most interesting Tango songs of the ages.

Saturday milonga and Concert
Description
On Saturday, between 4:30–8:00pm, Roberto and Mariana will run a series of two workshops. In the evening milonga, we have a chance to see their breathtaking performance. The evening milonga starts at 9:00pm.
The milonga will also feature the Tango trio La Yumba who will play (and sing) danceable live music through the milonga.

Description
