Glories of Tango at the Jewish International Film Festival

Sunday 6th November 2016, from 6:00pm

We're excited to be special tango guests, as a part of this new tango film premiere, Glories of Tango, showing in the UK International Jewish Film Festival. Very few movies are made on the theme of tango, so don't miss your chance to get some glimpses into the past of our dance.

Glories of Tango—an audience award winner at the Phoenix Film Festival—revolves around Fermín:

Having started a residency at a Buenos Aires hospital, Jewish psychiatrist Ezequiel is especially perplexed by the behaviour of one of his patients, Fermín, who communicates only by quoting lyrics and titles of tango songs. Suspecting that Fermín has been misdiagnosed for decades, Ezequiel starts researching his history, uncovering some dark secrets from both his patient’s and his country’s pasts. His research would also make him fall in love – with tango, and with Eva, a tango instructor and Fermín’s granddaughter. Glories of Tango is as delightful and intense as its thrilling dance scenes.
